Depuis le 26 mai 2026, une mission de l'Organisation de l'aviation civile internationale (OACI) est en cours au Cameroun. Conduite par Romain Ekoto, cette mission vise à discuter des réformes nécessaires avec les autorités camerounaises pour garantir la conformité aux normes internationales avant l'audit prévu. L'OACI a souligné l'importance d'accélérer ces réformes pour améliorer la sécurité aérienne dans le pays.
