Growth of SMEs in Cameroon: Significant Increase and Youth Involvement in 2025
According to the 2025 statistical yearbook from the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises, Cameroon has seen a substantial rise in SMEs, with the number increasing from 287,316 in 2019 to 472,208 in 2025. Notably, 42% of the new SMEs established in 2025 are founded by individuals under 35, reflecting a growing trend of youth entrepreneurship in the country.
